Vince Eck founded Trident Villa Rentals in 1983 and served as its President and General Manager until his death in 2009. He was actively involved not only in the day-to-day operations of Trident, but the Shelter Cove and Palmetto Dunes communities as well. He served as President of the Shelter Cove Harbor Company for ten years. Vince’s knowledge of the history and development of Shelter Cove was an invaluable asset to the community, as was his willingness to share his time to discuss issues with property owners and

visitors alike.

Vince was a member of the Lowcountry Property Management Association for over 20 years, and served as a Board Member and President until his death. A scholarship honoring his dedication to the field of property management, the Vincent Paul Eck Memorial Scholarship, was established following his death in 2009.

Vince was a contributor to the Real Estate Section of The Island Packet for 4 years, writing quarterly columns on issues relating to Property Management.

His presence was a part of Shelter Cove for many years. He is missed by all who knew him.
